Erin's Birthday Card
My niece turned 2 on 19th June. Because the World Cup Soccer is such a big theme currently, my sister decided to make the party theme "World Cup Soccer". The kids were required to dress up (although they all wore soccer shirts, nobody really went the extra mile here). The food was all themed around the countries playing on the day - sushi from Japan, Lamb on the "barbie" from Australia... etc. Her cake was a "Barbie" cake and her skirt decorated like a pink soccer ball.
So of course I had to make a girly card (cos she's such a little girl) but keep the theme of soccer. But I couldn't find any soccer embellishments that were girly. So I made some pink and white soccer balls. I covered them with dimensional magic and stuck 2 on the card. I used one of my own digi stamps for the card (Ballet Sonia) and coloured them in my own special way with watercolour pencils and white spirits. The bling "2" is done with one of my stencils from my range of stencils.
I matted everything and put it together on an A5 size card (A4 folded).
Below is her cake, and how cake should really be eaten!!
