Charlie is giving away some blog candy - to South African crafters only (because there's never really much being given away locally)...
All you need to do is become a fan of her page and leave her a comment.
So there you have it. If you'd like to stand a chance of winning her blog candy, hop over to Charlie's blog for more info.
I wouldn't mind winning this great prize.... I NEED that scoreboard....

B & W + 1
This week's challenge at Patties (challenge no. 11) is to use black and white and one other colour (don't worry, flesh is not considered your other colour, so you can use that is addition to).
I used one of Patties newer images - daisy in watering can.
I chose to use yellow as my +1 colour. Yellow is not one of my favourite colours, I love using yellow in my cards - it has a very calming feel about it.
I "pearled" it up using yellow and black pearls
I like the simple look of it. I find I'm going more the clean and simple way at the moment. That's what I love about cardmaking... your style changes so much from day to day.
Go on and join in this week's challenge - it's going to be an interesting one.

Blog Candy
Anyone actually following my blog, may have noticed that digistamps have been pushed aside recently :(
I've been so busy making all those new paper embellishments I just haven't found much free time. I'm hoping next week will allow me to get back into it, cos I really do miss it...
Anyway... one of the new companies I recently discovered is Little Scraps of Heaven and bought some of their patterns... I just need to make them now.
Of course, I'm going to jump at the chance to win a voucher to use at the store... and Leann is offering just that - a $30 voucher to use at Little Scraps of Heaven.
All you need to do to be in line to win is this:
Become a follower on Leann's blog
and post the candy on your blog.
Easy...
Good luck to you :)

Patties New Year Blog Hop
Welcome to the first Patties Challenge Blog Hop.
If you have arrived from Linda' blog, you are in the right place. If not click here to go back to the beginning.
Pattie has supplied all the DT's with a new year image, and I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else did with theirs.
My card ended up nothing like the initial idea I had, but a fun card in the end. And it can be used for almost any celebratory card (anniversary, congratulations, new year...)
I decided to use lots of pink - and bright pink at that. I go through stages with colours, and that seems to be "my" colour at the moment.
I had to use lots of bling - all the cardstock is metallic. I coloured the champagne in pink, and the class with grey and silver. I then used glitter glue over the pink of the champagne and ribbons.
Pattie has recently expanded her images from what started with the adventures of Pattie and her cat Allie, has grown into a variety of different images, including birds, flowers and more. Be sure to pop around to the blog and store...
Hope to see you participating in more challenges, and just for stopping by and leaving a comment, I'd like to offer a $3 gift voucher to use at Digistamps 4 Joy.
I know Pattie has some yummy candy for a special winner at the end of the blog, and you may find a few little goodies along the way on this hop.
Thanks for looking, and your next stop on this hop is Theresa's blog. Stop by and leave her some love... and enjoy the rest of the hop.
Hope to see you around Blogland soon...
Love Mel

What I've been doing...
I was hoping my new year would begin a little smoother in work, but not quite there yet - lots to do still. Never mind trying to find a few moments to craft...
But anyway... let me show you a little of what I have been doing over the past few weeks.
I discovered a site recently where the lady was selling paper pieced embellishments. They were so cute, I decided to try my hand at them. And I'm loving every minute of it, and the result is just adorable... don't you agree.
Here's a few pictures of some I've been busy with. If you're interested, you can log onto my website - scrapbooking-scrapbook, and find them under the category handmade embellishments.
I started with the animals...
Then decided, Christmas was around the corner, so made some Christmassy ones... and I'm still making others (and more of what I have - you see, now is the time to scrap the Christmas pages)
And in the last week, I've made these ones... (oh, except the ATV / quad bike- that was the very first one I made)
And there's lots more to come...
I must say, there's a lot of finicky work involved, but I enjoy doing it - and the more pieces the better... now I would like to be able to get around the actually scrapbooking with some of them...
Oh, just a quick reminder - don't forget to head over to Digistamps 4 Joy - there's a new challenge up...
Well, that's all for now, see ya...

A new year, and new beginnings
It's a new year, and I decided it was time for a change on my blog. I went with pretty and pink and I really like the new look.
I'm hoping to share a lot more with you in the coming days, as I haven't blogged much at all recently.
This post is just for information purposes, nothing to share with you immediately, but perhaps later...
Firstly, I'd like to let you know about Wink Wink Ink's first birthday.
Here's the details:

Hope to show you some new things I've been working on a little later on...
